Real World Shotlist
This is the shotlist for the real-world hospital scenes in the Emotions music video for Atul. It tracks every camera setup across the three acts where Atul lies dying on a gurney while doctors fight to save him and Taylor storms in to be at his side.
What this captures is the visual language of the conscious world. Atul enters on a Steadicam at 50mm. He fights for life at 85mm. He flatlines on a 25mm dolly push. The real world gets longer lenses and tighter coverage because reality, in this story, is where the body is trapped and the emotions are clinical. The camera sits close and watches.
Pay attention to the Lens Baby POV inserts. Those are Taylor's perspective bleeding through the membrane between worlds. They're the connective tissue that makes the two-universe structure work in the cut.
For anyone reading this who shoots music videos, notice that nearly everything was filmed at 48fps for the slight slow-motion the genre demands without losing musicality at 24fps playback. The 96fps insert on the hands is the only true slow-motion beat in the piece, and it's reserved for the final emotional landing.
